Girlboss
Inspired by the book Girlboss, the comedy web series follows the story of Nasty Gal’s founder, Sophia Amoruso. The series had 13 episodes, all of which had been released on April 21, 2017. It received mixed reviews with some critics saying that the main character is very unlikable and others praising the portrayal of Britt Robertson as Sophia Marlowe. The producers initially had high hopes for the show, but the viewership did not quite reach their expectations. Netflix, therefore, decided not to renew it for a second season, with CEO Reed Hastings telling Vanity Fair how shows can be cancelled for numerous reasons, but that it is mostly about how many people are watching the show.
