The Beginning Of It All
For Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, it was not exactly love at first sight. The two first met when they were working on the set of The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band. The 1968 film happened early on in their careers. At the time, Russell had only worked on three films prior. On the other hand, it was Goldie’s first feature film appearance! They have been together for quite some time now, but they have not tied the knot. Why is that?
Much Too Young
They had a nice time working on the project together, although this was not the beginning of a happily ever after. They got along just fine since Kurt was a lovely young man, although the relationship did not outlive production, Goldie told BBC, “I thought he was adorable, but he was much too young.” Back then, Goldie was barely of legal drinking age. However, Kurt himself was not even an adult – he was only 16 years old! At the time, the age gap was simply too significant to ignore.
